Information for Authors

Texts published in the FICHL Policy Brief Series must be between 20,000 and 20,500 keystrokes (including the empty spaces between words, footnote text, and a short summary biography at the end of the text). It is important that this length requirement is satisfied as the format of the Series is fixed.

Authors submitting manuscripts for publication in the Series should respect these basic guidelines: TOAEP Style Manual for Contributors.

Authors should also try to uphold the PURL-policy of the ICC Legal Tools Project as described at http://www.legal-tools.org/purl/. This policy promotes dissemination of legal sources in international criminal law. It means that you should hyperlink relevant legal sources in your text to the ICC Legal Tools Database.

Policy briefs may be published in different languages. Authors should indicate if they have any such language preferences.
